How to send a message inside CareerOS

Once you have a couple companies selected and contact recommendations to network with, it's the perfect moment to send a message.

But first... Why sending messages with CareerOS?

Sending messages using CareerOS is essential to have an organized job search journey. You will be able to see at a glance everyone you are networking with, how it's advancing and the overview of your progress. Plus, you will be able to use our AI messaging recommendations, so you will see it's way easier and faster to think what to send. Also, we have a Premium LinkedIn feature, so you will be able to get most contacts' emails. Did you know that if you contact a person through both LinkedIn and email, the chances of getting a response are 3x times higher?

It's important that you connect your LinkedIn account and your email to your CareerOS account. You can do it clicking on your profile (on the top right corner).

Inside CareerOS, you can either send LinkedIn Messages and emails. We are going to show you how to do both:

a) You haven't connected yet with the person on LinkedIn

Once you have a contact recommendation you want to network with, you can click on the contact and it will redirect you to this page: 

Then, you can click on "Send LinkedIn Connection", and you will get an AI message recommendation in case you don't know what to write on the LinkedIn connection request. We highly recommend to write something on the connection request, as it rises A LOT the chances of the person accepting your request.

Now, you should wait until the person accepts your request, or send an email. If you scroll a bit down this page, you will see how to send an email inside CareerOS.

b) You have already connected with the person on LinkedIn

If you already have connnected with the person you want to network with on LinkedIn, you can start the networking game fully. You can click on the contact's name, and it will send you to the inbox. Inside the inbox, you can switch between LinkedIn and email clicking on this button:

Then, you can use either our AI messages recommendations or write the messages you want.

How to send emails inside CareerOS

To send an email using CareerOS, you can click on any contact, then, you will be redirected to the inbox page. Inside the inbox, if you have the email for the contact, you can swich tabs between LinkedIn and email clicking on this button:

And you can use one of our AI recommended messages, or write whatever suits best for your situation.
